Students usually start with the Law courses, J.D. candidates have courses such as the following the first year: Civil Procedure, Contracts, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Lawyering, Property, and Torts
Upper-Class: Commercial Law:Secured Transactions, Constitutional Law, Evidence, and Professional Responsibility
Law courses required of all joint degree candidates: Administrative Law, Legislation, Jurisprudence
For the Political Science portion, students take the research courses of POLS 705 and 706, Research Design for Political Science and Research Methods
Additionally students can take political science courses numbered 700 or above and additional law classes
