Giving to Our Department

Thank you very much for considering a contribution to the department of Political Science. We continue to have one of the largest and most effective undergraduate programs in the College. More than 500 students are majoring in Political Science. In recent years, at least 170 students graduated from the University of Kansas with a major in Political Science.

Gifts to the Political Science Department Development Fund help in many ways, including assisting graduate students and faculty to attend conferences, covering expenses associated with the recruitment of new faculty, and bringing intriguing speakers to campus.

In addition to the department fund, we are pleased to introduce the Allan J. Cigler Fund for Academic Enrichment. During his nearly four decades on the KU faculty, Prof. Cigler has benefited thousands of students with his captivating presence in the classroom, his quick intellect, his ready wit, and his sympathetic attention. A group of KU alumni have established this fund to ensure that the great academic experience received at his hand will become a legacy for generations of KU students still to come. The Cigler Fund will be used to support KU undergraduates as they do their own original research in political science.

We invite you to consider a gift to the Political Science Department Development Fund or the Allan J. Cigler Fund for Academic Enrichment. Your gifts are tax-deductible, but best of all, they will enrich the KU experience for political science students for years to come.

Again, thank you for your consideration.
